Fancy joining me on a FREE Disaster Preparedness Course?
Of course you do. Fortunately, with Coursera, you can do just that.
Coursera is an online resource allowing you to access free courses from reputable universities worldwide. Plus, if you sign up for their Signature Track, you can get legitimate certificates for the work you;ve done, meaning it counts for your CV and your further education. And even if you don’t care about that, there’s the fun of learning new things about stuff your interested in.
When I heard about this, I was all over it like a nasty, infectious rash. Being a writer, any sort of course or interesting non-fiction book is my thing. You enver know what sort of random factoid will spark a story, and the more I know the more real my work seems.
Anyway, I was browsing their courses, signing up for the ones that seemed interesting, when I came across the Disaster Preparedness course. Six weeks, starting in August of this year, all about how to get ourselves in the right mindset to survive disaster. Well, I was there, and now I’m signed up for it. You should join me!
Also of interest for In Case of Survival readers would be Epidemics – The Dynamics of Infectious Diseases.
